Tim Connelly is a senior consultant at the US Market Access Center with a broad background in market research, business consulting, management of high-tech companies and hardware/software engineering. Recently, Mr. Connelly was the CEO of a business software company, EasyWare Software (San Jose, CA). Two of his current areas of consulting interest are wireless technologies and business software. He recently was awarded a 12-month contract to analyze wireless technology investment opportunities for a large multi-national corporation. A significant proportion of Mr. Connelly's market research projects have been performed for international firms. At the US Market Access Center, he was a consultant on a retail software study for a South African firm, a supercomputer study for a Canadian firm, and a market assessment of a material modeling software program for a Russian/Slovenian institute. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Mr. Connelly was a Director of Custom IT Consulting areas at Dataquest (now Gartner). In this capacity, he personally was responsible for about $5 million in billings over a 4 year period. 

As an entrepreneur, Mr. Connelly was the co-founder and Marketing Vice President of Interfile Corporation, a document storage and retrieval system company. Filac Corporation, a medical electronic company, is another firm that he co-founded and served as its Engineering Manager and General Manager. Filac was sold to Cheesebrough-Ponds in 1979. Immediately after graduating from Stanford's Graduate School of Business, he was part of an internal medical laser system start-up at Spectra Physics, a leader in commercial lasers. Other organizations that have employed Mr. Connelly have been Microform Data Systems, Lockheed, Digital Equipment Corporation, and the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory. In addition to his honors MBA, he received a BSEE from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Connelly was the President and former Director of the MIT Club of Northern California. He is on the board or advisory board of several Silicon Valley firms, and recently completed six years on the board of a Santa Clara County non-profit organization.
