CNET blogger Matt Asay recently wrote about DTS and Plat'home in his CNET blog on open-source issues, The Open Road. These companies from Japan caught his attention because they have embraced open-source technologies into their products.

Matt saw the companies at two recent events hosted by JETRO: The Super Genius Showcase and the US-Japan IT Venture Summit -- which was put on in association with the US MAC.
