The US MAC Finds Qualified and Targeted Potential Clients for Face-to-face Meetings as Part of the 2006 TEKES North America Access Program As the main public funding organization for research and development in Finland, TEKES (http://www.TEKES.fi) funds industrial projects as well as projects in research organizations, and especially promotes innovative, risk-intensive projects. For TEKES’ North America Access Program (NAAP) Tour, the US Market Access Center (http://www.usmarketaccess.com) was commissioned to set up a total of 9 face-to-face meetings for 3 healthcare technology companies funded by TEKES with potential customers and partners. TEKES chose to utilize the US MAC due its proximity to the Bay Area, contacts with high-level decision makers, and the experience of its Senior Consultants in the healthcare technology industry. The targets of these meetings were at the Director level or above, typically in charge of corporate wellness programs, at healthcare providers, insurance providers, fitness centers, and pharmacies located in the Bay Area.
